School districts around the country are ramping up security in response to a TikTok challenge that that has reportedly gone viral. The challenge encourages users to make “hoax threats” about a school shooting to occur on Friday, Dec. 17.
Liberty Defense Holdings Ltd. recently announced that it has signed an agreement with the University of Wisconsin Police Department (UWPD) to test a new security detection walkthrough portal on campus.
Several North Texas school districts are cancelling school to extend the long Martin Luther King Jr. Day weekend, citing staff shortages and a surge in COVID-19 cases.
CCSD 89 employs 350 people working in six locations, including four elementary schools, one middle school, and one administrative building for Registration and Human Resources. The buildings used to have traditional analog cameras and DVRs running on coaxial cables, but the district recently made the decision to upgrade its system.
